Plan Management-Plan Year 3 Training
In preparation for the upcoming year in Plan Management, NAIC Education and Training will offer Plan Management training for industry and state users.
New industry users who intend to use SERFF to submit plans should plan to attend a session; several dates are available for your convenience:
March 3, 2015 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
March 5, 2015 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM
March 11, 2015 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM
Industry users should CLICK HERE TO REGISTER for any of the above sessions. Industry users who used the Plan Management functionality last year can attend as a refresher, yet it is not required. Training will be very similar to what was offered in 2014.
The state Plan Management training is geared toward new users, but individuals who have filed in past years may attend as a refresher if desired. This state-only course is being offered in two sessions:
March 4, 2015 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
March 10, 2015 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM
State users should CLICK HERE TO REGISTER for either session.
The trainings are offered by knowledgeable NAIC staff with over 11 years of experience in training SERFF to all industry users. Questions are welcomed!
The NAIC also plans to record both the industry and state training and post both to the SERFF HIX page.
SERFF Filing Access is Ready!
SERFF Filing Access is now in production for an increasing number of states. This new interface, sponsored by the Speed to Market (EX) Task Force, will provide consumers and other interested parties the ability to access, via the Internet, filings that the participating state has marked available.
Click here for a list of states using SFA.
Have you heard? There are currently 31 states that have made it official - they want you to SERFF or file electronically!
We are excited to announce the Virgin Islands is now accepting filings through SERFF. They have also mandated that all state filing fees be paid via EFT.
Puerto Rico NOW requires that all filings go through SERFF.
Click here for a list of states that mandate SERFF
In addition to mandating SERFF, Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Georgia, Guam, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Vermont, and West Virginia require that all state filing fees be paid via EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer). Maryland has mandated EFT payments for all SERFF filings, both Life and Health and Property and Casualty.
Indiana NOW requires that state filling fees be paid by EFT in SERFF.
What does this mean to you? If you are not already SERFF and EFT licensed, you need to get licensed as quickly as possible!
